The Gobi Desert

The Gobi Desert is located on the continent of Asia, mainly covering the country of Mongolia. Unlike the Sahara Desert, the Gobi Desert is a cold desert. It has extremely hot summers and cold winters, often with snow and frost.
The plants that live in the Gobi Desert must be able to survive in cold weather as well as warm. The animals that live there are mostly nocturnal. FUN FACT: the Gobi Desert is home to the first fossilized dinosaur egg ever found! |
