         The purpose of this web site is to provide students with introductory material on deserts.  It will act as a supplement to class materials in meeting objectives such as recognizing typical desert animals and plants, identifying major deserts around the world, and becoming familiar with desert climates. 

         This site has been designed by A. Adams for Mr. Lipton's second grade classroom at Devotion Elementary School in Brookline, Massachusetts.  I am a student at Boston University studying Elementary Education in the School of Education.  This site is a requirement for the course ED101, which contributes to satisfying the Massachusetts licensing requirements for coursework in Educational Technology.
