Cold Climate

Cold desert climates can actually be very hot and dry in the summer, but in the winter they are brutally cold and dry, with temperatures below freezing. Cold deserts frequently experience snow. The Gobi Desert is an example of a cold desert climate. |

Some animals found in the Gobi Desert include the Snow Leopard (shown to the left), the Jerboa, and the Gobi Bear. These animals are specially adapted to live in such a cold climate. |
